Obituary of Walter Richard Southern

Southern, Walter Richard, 90, of St. Petersburg, died Friday July 14, 2000 at home. Born in Chicago, IL, he came here in 1983 from Crystal Lake, IL where he worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Post Office from 1927 until his retirement in 1965. He served in the Navy during WWII and was Lutheran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 171 in Crystal Lake, IL and the National Association of Letter Carriers for sixty years. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Hazel M. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
