Obituary of Evelyn McPeake Dodd

Dodd, Evelyn McPeake, 84, of South Pasadena, died Friday July 28, 2000 at the Fountains of Boca Ciega Bay after a long illness. Born in Radford, VA, she came here in 1970 from Knoxville, TN. As a first lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps from 1942 until 1946, she saw service in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany and was awarded five Battle Stars. She was a member of First Unity Church. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Osborne C.; two daughters: Nancy Hyde, Gainesville, FL; and Susan Henderson, Abingdon, VA; one brother, Raymond McPeake, Radford, VA; one sister, Annie Boon, Christiansburg, VA; one grandson, A.J. Henderson, Abingdon, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
