Obituary of Bessie T. Frakes

Frakes, Bessie T., 85, of St. Petersburg, died Monday October 16, 2000 at Bayfront Medical Center. She came here in 1932 from her native Excelsior Township, MI. She was a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Public Relations Course in the 60?s and always said it changed her life. She worked for the Florida Motor Vehicle for 14 years and then AAA Motor Club for 10 years before retiring in 1978. She was an avid fisherman and a member of the Pinellas Fishing Club and the Walking Sticks Camping Club. She enjoyed ?knitting? at the Gulfport Senior Center and was a member of the same card club group for many years. She is survived by two daughters: Helen Dewalt, St. Petersburg and Betty Baker, Casselberry, FL; one brother, Rolleston Fox, Frazier Park, CA; four grandsons; and two great grandchildren.
