Obituary of Albert T. Johnson

Johnson, Albert T., 89, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at Hospice House Woodside in St. Petersburg. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he came here in 1973 from Bermuda. He was a diesel maintenance foreman for the U.S. Government for 13 years. Prior to that, he was a machinist in Connecticut for over 20 years. Mr. Johnson was a 32nd degree Mason who was the Past-Master of Old Well Lodge #108 in Norwalk, Connecticut. He was Past Royal Patron of the Amaranth in both Connecticut and Florida; Past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star Ophir Chapter #52 in Connecticut; Past-Monarch of Monker Grotto in Norwalk, Connecticut; a member of Pyramid Temple Shrine in Connecticut; a member of Pyramid Temple Shrine Brass Band; and a former member of several local bowling leagues. He was Episcopalian. Survivors include a son, A. Fred Johnson of St. Petersburg, 2 daughters, Carolyn V. Johnson of St. Petersburg and Gail A. Burk of Collinsville, Connecticut, and 5 grandchildren.
