Obituary of Col. John William Trezise

Lieutenant Colonel John William Trezise died of natural causes on December 5, 2000 at Jacaranda Manor Nursing Home in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was born in Rochester, New York on May 8, 1924. He was 76. Col. Trezise was a veteran of three wars. He entered the Army Air Corps during World War II and became a decorated career in the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Korean Conflict and in Viet Nam as well. Among his peacetime assignments, he served at the Pentagon, at Toul-Rosier Air Force Base in France, and at Wright Patterson Air Base in Ohio. He was an expert in logistics and played a major role in supplying ordnance in the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland. After his retirement from the military in 1965, Colonel Trezise settled in Maitland, Florida and served in various management positions. He was Vice President of Southeast Banking Corporation. He suffered from diabetes and has been a resident at Jacaranda Manor Nursing Home since 1992. He is survived by, eight nephews, and one niece.
