Obituary of Richard Frank Meyer

Meyer, Richard Frank, 85, of North Redington Beach, died Sunday December 10, 2000 at home. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, he came here in 1917. He was a 1933 graduate of St. Petersburg High School and was a member of the Old Timers Club, the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, the Seminole Golf & Country Club, the Western ? Seniors Golf Association and Ye-Mystic Crew of the Neptune. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer having worked for 20 years for Babcock-Wilcox in St. Petersburg. In the 1930?s, while growing up in St. Petersburg, he was a paperboy for the St. Petersburg Times. In the 1950?s he developed and owned the Florida Sands Trailer Park in St. Petersburg and owned and operated Meyer & Withrow, General Contractors, who built houses in St. Petersburg. He was a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Margaret Meyer of North Redington Beach, a son, Robert Meyer of St. Petersburg, a grandson, Michael Bristol, 4 granddaughters, Laurie Mozo, Lisa Bristol, Mary-Ann Nevitt and Shery-Ann Meyer, and 5 great grandchildren, Krystin, Nick, Shelby, Cassidy and Mikayla.
