Obituary of Nancie P. Nichols

Nichols, Nancie P., 68, of Largo, FL, died Tuesday March 5, 2002 at home. Born in Morristown, NJ, she graduated from Morristown High School in 1952. She graduated from Golden Gate University and attained an MBA from the University of South Florida. She moved to Largo in 1981 from Reston, VA. She worked as Senior Program Administrator at Raytheon, Inc. in St. Petersburg until 1998. She also served as a volunteer for the Pinellas County Extension Service. A talented musician and singer, she loved and supported musical activities throughout her life, most recently as a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Choir in Largo. She was a member of the Suncoast Chapter of SOLE-The International Society of Logistics, which named her its 2000-2001 Logistician of the Year. She was also a member of the AVA Sandpipers, Florida Logistics, Raytheon Toastmasters, and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Survivors include a son, Robert Nichols, Myrtle Creek, OR; two daughters: Victoria Nichols-Warner and Jacqueline Rodriguez, both of Anchorage, AK; a sister, Carol Wetmore, Andover, NJ; and four grandchildren: Robert and Hilary Rodriguez; and Scott and Tiffany Warner, all of Anchorage, AK.
