Obituary of Julian M. Boring

Julian Meyers Boring, 64, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday December 16, 2000 at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1990 from his native Fitzgerald, Georgia. He attended Calvary Chapel. He was an Air Force and Coast Guard Veteran, serving for four years in the Air Force before joining the Coast Guard. He retired as a systems specialist chief with the Coast Guard after 16 years of service, his last post being with the U.S. Coast Guard Base air station in St. Petersburg. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Wyoming Antelope Club, where he was a range officer. Survivors include two sons, Paul Cocuzza, Effort, Pennsylvania and Steve Campbell, Birmingham, Alabama; three daughters, Mary Frances Elkasas, Henryville, Pennsylvania, Janet E. Ford, Avon Lake, Ohio and Linda C. Kinsey, St. Petersburg, Florida; his father and stepmother, Samuel and Thelma Boring, Fitzgerald, Georgia; a brother, Alan, Miami, Florida; and 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 10 years, Sylvia Boring. Interment with military honors will follow the visitation at the Bay Pines National Cemetery. $(document).ready(function(){ });
