My dearest Uncle Bob. Although he is no longer here with us I know he is enjoying Being 'on the other side'. I have so many fond memories of visiting Hatfield as a child and having the opportunity to get to know him as the big teddy bear he was. He was so passionate about his responsibilities as Fire Chief and I was always in awe of how much he genuinely cared about the community's safety. One of my fondest memories is of the time I had the opportunity to ride with him on the back of his Harley. The helmet barely fit my small head and my arms barely fit around his jolly belly, but I remember distinctly feeling safe and comforted knowing that he had it all under control. Thanks for the good times Uncle Bob... you will be missed! Rest in Peace and know that you were loved by many.XOXO ~ Alicia

So very sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. Some of the happiest times I spent 2 doors down, my 2nd home through high school. Bobby was the big brother, the protector. I pretty much "grew up" there. It was "the hangout". Bobby's LP's playing constantly, playing cards on the porch, warming by the fire in the barn, fireworks year after year, the parties... oh the parties, and so much more... Wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Bobby will be sorely missed. Ronnie, Carl and Carol, my deepest sympathies. Hugging each of you. God bless.

What a flood of memories!! Some of the best times of my life were with the Osepowicz family...to say I was shocked to read Bobby's obit is an understatement! The years and memories shared with all of you shall forever remain close to my heart...we were all wonderful, close friends who would do anything for one another. We all laughed and cried together and had relationships so few truly know...I am just so fortunate I was one of them! Carl, Carol and Ronnie - I hope you are all well! I am so very sorry that you have lost your brother. May God bless. A warm hug and heartfelt sympathy to each of you. Your friend, Eileen

I was to sad to hear of Bob's passing. I spent many years working with Bob on the fire department. His mentoring helped me to gain the skills to take over as Chief upon his retirement from the department. He was willing to work with all the members of the department to help keep themselves and the citizens of Town safe, always seeking out new ways/knowledge to accomplish this. Bob was a joy to know as a friend and fellow firefighter. May you rest in peace, Bob.

Ronnie, Carl, and Carol - we have great memories of the times spent at the Bridge St. home, we always felt welcomed there. Bob was a great person to be around and certainly served the Town well as Fire Chief. Ed and Bob had a lot of good times with the rest of the crew from Hatfield and hanging around the gas station in the center.Take care of yourselves,Ed & John

Have lots of good memories of Bobby, in the years he served as fire chief. In these times, there are few folks who show the kind of dedication Bob showed to the Fire Dept. Had hoped that we's connect with Bobby in St Petersburg, as Richie spends the winter there. Since I still work, I go back and forth as much as I can. Our deepest sympathy to your family.

There was a time in my life when I felt as though I was a part of this Osepowicz family with Bob being my "big brother" in my second home. We had a circle of friends who had the best of times. The Osepowicz home was "homebase" to that circle of friends. Bob always was very well read and in my eyes very opinionated. He gave me some of the best advice in my life. I had joined the Marines during my senior year of high school during the Viet Nam War and Bob talked me out of going through with it. He helped alter my life onto a path that kept me safe for which I will never forget and always be grateful. There are many stories to tell of "adventures and hijinks", too numerous for this forum. I can only say that I was glad to have known Bob and the rest of his family. I for one will miss him and now regret the many years of no contact. See you on the other side Bob. Montu

Rest in Peace, Chief!Bob was the fire chief during my time as Selectman in Hatfield, Mass., and he taught me more about the department and dedication of the men and women than I could have ever learned elsewhere. Thank you!
