Obituary of Leon J. Shaw

Leon James Shaw, 72, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the Department Of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Bay Pines, FL. He was born in Mapleton, ME and moved to St. Petersburg in 1960 from Presque Isle ME. He was a graduate of Bixby Business School and attended St. Petersburg Jr. College. He was a clerk for 19 years with the U.S. Postal Service at the Tampa Airport. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a Life member of the DAV and he was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Hannelore; one son, Edward J. Shaw, of Tonopah, NV; one daughter, Sonya Shaw-Glenn of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Bessie Robichaud of Presque Isle, ME, Ella Capone of Groton, MA and four grandchildren, Meegan Shaw, Samuel Glenn, Rachel Glenn and Danielle Glenn. $(document).ready(function(){ });
