Obituary of Jean Louise Davis

Davis, Jean Louise, 84, of St. Petersburg, passed away on April 5, 2018. Jean was born on October 21, 1933 in Dodge City, Kansas to the late Viola and James Bonnerlin. She graduated from Friends University in 1956 with a degree in Education. Jean taught school in Kansas and later traveled overseas and taught for US Army dependents. There she met her husband Russell in Germany, and they were married in 1959. Jean and Russell returned to the states moving a bit with the Navy before settling in Ohio. In 1995, after her husband's retirement they settled in Lexington, KY where they owned a horse farm. In 2013, they relocated to St. Petersburg, FL. Jean enjoyed sewing, geography, traveling and most of all being with her family. She was a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, and active in serval clubs in Connecticut when they lived there. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Russell S. Davis; sons, Mark W. Davis of Greenville, OH, Steven R. Davis of Cincinnati, OH and granddaughters, Taylor L. Davis and Alexa G. Davis. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Lisa Lyn Davis. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, between the hours of 1-2pm with the service to begin at 2pm, Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street St. Petersburg, FL 33704.
