Marilyn Berthiaume

Obituary of Marilyn Elaine Berthiaume

Marilyn Berthiaume,

73, of St. Petersburg, passed away on May 11, 2018 after a long battle with complicated health issues.

She was born and raised in the Biddeford and Saco, Maine area and graduated from Hartford, CT high school. She was preceded in death by her partner of 13 years Urbain "Robie" Roberge who passed away in 2000. Her parents were Lucille and Gerard Twomey.

Marilyn is survived by her son Lance Berthiaume and his spouse, Patricia Sullivan; her daughter, Lorrie Berthiaume and her spouse Amy Zawadski; sister Carol Fredette; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Marilyn, "Mom" was known as "Ms. Busy Body" or "The Mayor". She loved to draw, paint and was a clay artist. She loved being involved in the events that surrounded her at the Morean Art Center, "The Train Station" and The Brick studios; this was her "job" for the latter part of her life.

One of her many great accomplishments was being commissioned to hand sculpt three bird houses that were placed in Roser Park in South St. Petersburg, Florida. These bird houses represent her style and hard work she put into those pieces. She had a beautiful smile, great wit and made many friends throughout her life.

Her wishes were no viewing services and that her remains be scattered off the coast of Maine.

Please keep her in your hearts and cherish the soul she had.
