Obituary of Ronald Eugene Borden

Ronald Eugene Borden (Ronnie), 79, of St. Petersburg, was born October 31, 1941 in Wheatfield, VA. Ronnie passed away August 28, 2021. He lived in St. Petersburg for the last 24 years and spent time working in the security industry after moving from Methuen, MA. From 1961-1965 he served in the US Air Force after graduating from Strasburg High in Strasburg, VA. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Borden and Marie Marino; and a brother, Clyde Borden. Ronnie is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ellen Borden, they just celebrated their 25^th wedding anniversary.

He is also survived by his son Ronald Borden, Jr. and granddaughter, Shaylene Borden; brothers Bruce Borden, Roger Borden; sister, Maria Molden, all of Winchester, VA; and several nieces.

Ronnie attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg. He enjoyed watching and reading about all sports, but especially loved the Tampa Bay Rays and NASCAR Racing. He loved listening to and singing along to the oldies and classic country music. Ronnie always looked forward to spending time at Starbucks with his good friend Lou, where they enjoyed morning coffee, conversation and many laughs but he loved nothing more than spending quality time with his beloved wife and going out to eat for his favorite meal.
