Gerken, Frederic A.

77 of St. Petersburg, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 5, 2018, with his loving wife at his side. Born in Rochester, N.Y., on January 13, 1941 to the late Arthur and Berenice Gerken. Frederic was a Deacon and a Priest in the New Apostolic Church. Fred had a great love for his family, friends and church and always willing to help others. Frederic is survived by his loving wife, Jean of 40 years; four devoted and loving sisters, Anita Finch, Rosemary (Gordon) Haney, Donna (John) Spickler, Artha West, and sister-in-law Sylvia (Richard) Mechler; many nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service and fellowship on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 3:00 pm, at the New Apostolic Church, 3500 13th Ave. N. St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the New Apostolic Church Sunday School.
