Obituary of Patricia A. Nugent Jacono

Patricia A. Nugent Jacono, 78, who lived in Delaware County Pa for 41 years, passed away peacefully on August 18th in St Petersburg Fl, where she has resided since 1980.

Mrs. Jacono (Pat), graduated from Chichester High School class of 1957. She work for Eckerd College in St Petersburg. She was the college mailroom supervisor, and then worked in the accounting office as the P.E.L.L. student bookkeeper.       

She participated in, and was an avid fan of athletics. Along with her sister Audrey, she coached the Marcus Hook girls softball team to an undefeated season and county championship in 1976. She was an advocate for the less fortunate and had a strong desire to help others via her participation in the Democratic Party. 

She is preceeded in death by her parents James and Thelma Nugent, sister Audrey Young and her son Vincent Jacono. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank (Doodle) Jacono; daughter Lynn Jacono;      sister Jane Ennis of Ridley Park; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will hold an open house Celebration of Life at her daughters home on Sunday August 26th from 1-5 pm. There will be a graveside service at Lawncroft Cemetary in Linwood Pa on September 12, at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon.
