Richard J. Tomford

74, of St Petersburg, died Monday, December 17, 2018, at Suncoast Hospice Care Center Mid Pinellas. He came here in 1977 from his native Panama Canal Zone. He was Catholic. He lived at PARC. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Richard J and Helen Tomford, as well as his brother, Dennis Tomford. He is survived by his guardian, Michelle Detweiler of Bradenton, FL; his cousin, Amy Strawgate of Wantagh, NY. A visitation will be held 10am Friday, January 4, 2019, with funeral service to immediately follow. Entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery will be private for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s name to PARC.
