Obituary of Betty R. Sowers

Sowers, Betty R., of St. Petersburg, formerly of Mechanicsburg, PA, died January 14, 2019 at Golfview Healthcare Center. She was retired from MacDill Air Force Base and a member of Riviera United Methodist Church. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Sowers and is survived by her daughter, Donna L. Strawser (Samuel), two grandson, Steven and Scott and five great-grandchildren. For many years she enjoyed playing tennis, volunteering at All Children’s hospital and the Museum of Fine Arts. A memorial service will be held for Betty on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2pm at Riviera United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
