I'm so sorry about the loss of your dad. Death really has a sting but God restores our hearts with the knowledge that our loved one is in a better home in heaven

Todd, after reading your tribute and thank you to those that knew and loved your father, I wanted to share words of comfort. Through your sadness and hurt may you Denise, family and friends find a measure of both hope and comfort from Almighty God, by means of Jesus promises: Imagine living without fear of sickness, pain or death in perfect conditions on earth forever! God, never intended mankind to get sick, grow old or die; Rev 21:4 promises conditions as originally purposed; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Today, you grieve with tears of sadness for your father, in the very near future your tears will be of overwhelming joy as one of the greatest earthly demonstations of Jehovah’s marvelous kindnesses is when he resurrect's those lost in death. (John 5:28,29) It is my hope that the power of God’s Word will help to ease your sorrow as you cherish the loving memories you shared together. Warmest regards.

Today I/we said our final goodbyes to my dad. My father’s service at their church was beautiful. His service was attended by family, past coworkers, business professionals, and church family but they were all cherished friends. This morning is the first time I can remember all five of his children coming together in quite a while. On behalf of myself and my family, I want to thank everyone for their support, love, and laughter.
The past couple of years have been trying times for my family and through it all, my father remained the pillar of strength and encouragement for my mother. Today I had an overwhelming feeling of being blessed to have been able to spend as much time with my parents and family as I have.
Tonight was my first opportunity to view the photo montage tribute to my dad. Looking back on this minute glimpse into my dad's past life, I smiled, teared up, felt pride, and a lot of sorrow. Besides the obvious variations of period clothing, hair styles (or lack of hair), and activities, he always bore his signature smile. My father was fortunate to have many things in his life that brought him real joy and love; family, sailing, traveling, friends, work, beer, seafood, etc., but the one person that trumped all of them is the love of his life Denise. My fathers life was not always easy but I remember his strength and determination to rise above adversity and find joy.
Although my dad was very accomplished, intelligent, innovative, a leader in education and business, he was also blessed with many other positive attributes like being humble, approachable, funny, happy, sincere, friendly, honest, and so many more. Being the father of a blended family was sometimes challenging, his honest love and devotion could be felt by all of his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind so many individuals that were part of his life throughout his time on earth with a void deep down inside. My mind keeps trying to convince me he had a very long full life filled with love and adventure and that he is finally at peace; it's my heart that refuses to adhere to logic.
I love and miss you terribly dad, but I firmly believe we will be reunited in time. I vow to keep my promise to continue taking care of mom until you two are together once again!

I met Warren while attending graduate school at USF in 1982. A great friendship developed, and in 1983, Warren invited me to temporarily live with him at his home in Venetian Isles during a particularly troubling time in my life. Over a period of a year, Warren taught me how to sail, how to work on his boat and provided immeasurable advice and counsel. Warren was my rock, my life ring in stormy seas. Time spent with Warren, Denise, and the kids were the most memorable of my life. I'm forever grateful! My sincere condolences to the family on the loss of a great and magnificent man.
