Obituary of Ronald Wayne Watkins

Watkins, Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” 71, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on May 9, 2019.

Ronnie was born on October 31, 1947 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Clarence and Viola (Hughes) Watkins.

He was an avid fisherman, loved camping, music, baking and spending time with his friends and family.

Ronnie is survived by loving children, Mark T. Singleton (Kimberly), Stacey Watkins McKee, James Lee Watkins; nephew, Tom Wright; mother of his children, Joanne Watkins; grandchildren, Autumn Taylor, Sarah Kate, Summer Dawn, Zachary Travis, Amber Rose, Mason O’Malley and great grandson Emersyn Wade.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Watkins, Butch Watkins and Faye Newman.   

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on June, 16th at Ft. Desoto Park, Pavilion 9, from 10am-2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Suncoast Hospice in honor of Ronald Watkins at  https://suncoasthospice.org/donate/
