I first met Marlene about 9 years ago at Saint Justin Martyr's "Time and Talent Fair" where she was working the T.H.O.R.N. sign up table. She recruited me to this ministry, that fed the homeless on Monday nights, and I soon discovered it to be a means to grow in faith through service. I will always be grateful to her for providing me the opportunity to serve, and I will remain inspired by the loving example she displayed when she performed her many acts of corporal mercy.
I love the way she incorporated Skeeter into her missions of mercy as well. Their relationship was also an inspiration. I was an honor to be invited to their 50th Wedding Anniversary Party and it was evident, to all who attended, that this was a couple who, after many years of marriage, remained sweethearts.
I offer my heart felt condolences to her family and friends and prayers for peaceful spirits.

She will be missed by all -- enjoyed our times together under the circus tent on 9th street -- the get-togethers on the farm over the years and our get-togethers in FL.
God Bless.

Where do I start? What do I say? There are no words that can convey all the beautiful memories given and what you and Uncle Skeeter have meant/mean to me during my lifetime. I knew you were leaving but it is a shock to see it in writing and brings fresh tears. Though my heart is broke and I didn't get to see you before you left I hope you knew how much I loved and will continue to love you.
I know my Dad greeted you with open arms in Heaven.
Natalia and Erick also loved you and we all prayed for you while you were fighting your brave battle. You were also a big part of their lives and memories.
With tears in my eyes and a broken heart,
Good-bye until later-see in you in Heaven Aunt "Mikey".
Love and miss you
