Cheryl I just thought of Jan and sadly found this. I’m so sorry for you because I know how close you were. I worked with Jan at TPA but I left there to move home to Canada in 1984. Some people we just never forget. She was such a sweetheart and always so calm and happy. That in itself is comforting, to know she had a happy life. What a devastating loss for you.

Cheryl, I am so sorry for the loss of this special sister and best friend. I just heard of her passing today. I want you to know she touched the lives of many of us at the Tampa airport. For myself personally, she was such a help in a very rough time of my life. Thankfully, it was also the time when the Lord really revealed just Who He was to me and Jan was there to help and encourage as I grew in Him. I am so thankful that the Lord placed her where she was and that we got to know each other. I cannot wait to see her again when the Lord brings all of us home! Meanwhile, may our Father - the God of all comfort, show Himself to you in many unexpectant ways as you go through your grieving. Meg C.

Jan was such an incredible sweet, loving person who truly walked with her Savior. My prayers go out to Cheryl, as I know she will miss Jan, but can feel blessed that she knows that she will be once again be reunited with her in heaven. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”

I will always remember what a kind person she was. Jan always was calm in some of the most crazy situations that could happen working at the airport. Beautiful soul and though I had not seen her in a long time, I have found memories of her.

Jan and Cheryl Sinks are two of the most amazing women I have ever met. My husband and I attend Calvary Seminole where both ladies actively served in ministry. Their representation of Jesus is an example for all who know them. There is no denying that He is the Source of their strength! Jan is now in His presence... no more pain. Cheryl is carried in prayer by those of us who love them both.

Cheryl, My deepest condolences to you. I have worked with Jan since 1986, first in Newark and then in Tampa. She had the sweetest soul and kindest heart and was so thoughtful to my mom. She even sent my mom a Christmas gift one year that she still uses (a mug). We will miss her so much, but not nearly as much as you. Though my heart breaks for you I know there is no doubt Jan is in paradise. I will always think of Jan and smile. Xo

Only good things to say about a truly good person. This was Jan Sinks. Jan was well respected and liked by the airline community. Cool calm and collected during turbulent times.
Never caught up in the drama of the job. She was a dedicated, dignified, dependable, trustworthy leader of the team. She truly trusted in God's plan for her. We all will miss her calm caring presence. Soar high to Paradise, Jan.

Jan had been my supervisor for over 20 years at United. Her peaceful nature and concern for my family and me will be what I remember most. I'm thankful she found the Calvary family, as well, and knew Jesus as her savior. We had many talks about this and I know that she is singing His praises now. My hugs and prayers go out to Cheryl, her sweet sister. You will be missed Jan. xo

What a wonderful person. Her soft voice and quiet nature made her a natural in customer service. Even though I earlier out in 2000... she always welcomed me at the airport like I never left. She is gone too soon. RIP

Jan has been my supervisor at Tampa for years! I remember a time we had a senior couple going to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary cruise in which they were missing, due to a delay. Jan and I brainstormed, supported, and agreed that the most important task was to get them to where they needed to be, no matter what the cost and measure! She always stood by me and my decisions, as far as I remember, keeping the utmost professional, yet caring attitude, always putting the needs of those, in need as her priority! I always felt I can trust and vent my frustrations, without judgement, but great understanding!!! Thank for always giving us positive feedback to move forward, even during the most trying times! You are God’s angel now...rest in peace our friend

I’ve known Jan for about two years through church. We got to know each other a little better over these past few months and I witnessed first hand of the Lord’s love and mercy on Jan. She was truly a woman of God and an inspiration in her complete trust in the Lord. She was a faithful prayer warrior (as is her sister Cheryl) for my granddaughter who also has a brain tumor. I know I will see Jan again and I rejoice that she is with our Precious Savior Jesus now. Blessings to Cheryl!

I will always remember Jan as a kind , warm hearted lady. Her most memorable comment to me “Oh my stars!!” ⭐️ She was not one to raise her voice or get angry at someone. Never lost her temper. A very calm disposition. Sending comfort and prayers to her sister and family during this time of sorrow.
