Obituary of Ann Nichols

Ann was born to Ann Virginia and Halleck Rose on November 20, 1933.  As her father was a member of the diplomatic corp, she was born in Rotterdam and spent her earliest years in Berlin.  Although she primarily grew up in Washington DC. she spent time in various countries, including Nicaragua and in her late teens, back to Berlin.

Ann graduated from The Madeira School and attended Barnard College.  While attending Barnard in New York City, she was able to experience in person one of her favorite things, Broadway Musicals.

On March 9, 1957, Ann married Bob Nichols.  They primarily lived in Hillsboro, Ohio, until moving to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1972.  They relocated to St. Petersburg in 1991, but spent their last years together in Mount Dora.  Bob passed away in 1999, and Ann returned to St. Petersburg a year later.

Ann was a great lover of the Arts, especially Opera.  During its season, she spent most of her Saturdays enjoying the live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera.  Ann also loved animals and had been the "person" of several poodles over the years.
