Joe,
I learned of the demise of Al with great sorrow. As you know the Kohler gang, Al, Jack, Dick and I were close friends in the late 40's and 50's and on into adulthood. For some reason I never referred to Al as Whitey. I know Al's last few years were hard and we can say he is now at peace, but the loss is still there. What I have are memories of a great guy and the privilege of being his friend. My condolences to you Betty and all the family.
