Obituary of Roberto Renta

Roberto was born on March 18. 1976 in Newburgh, N.Y. to Angel L. Renta and Ligia (Collazo) Douglas and died in St Petersburg on May 7th, 2020 after a brief illness. He lived in Plattekill, NY and attended Plattekill Elementary School and Wallkill Middle School.  At the age of 11 his family moved to St Petersburg, FL where he remained until he graduated from High School.  He is a graduate member of the first class of the Center for Advanced Technology at Lakewood High School in St Petersburg.  He attended FIU in Miami for three years from where he transferred to the New York School of Fashion and Design.  In 2000 he graduated from the New York School of Culinary Arts.  He worked as a CHEF in various restaurants both in NY and Miami.   

He loved cooking and the beach. 

He is preceeded in death by his father, his step father, and grandparents.  He is survived by his mother Ligia, his brother Kenneth, his stepmother Hilda Renta, five step sisters, one step brother, five aunts, and three uncles.  He also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends who dearly love him.  Robbie will be greatly missed.
