Truly my best friend, and one of the strongest people I had the pleasure of knowing.
Forever encouraging me to do my best and learn everything I can, about everything I can. If you don't understand something in the world, there's a book or a website or a person somewhere who can share that knowledge, you just have to look for it.
From as young as I can remember, we had regular trips to Great Explorations, to the movies, to the mall just to walk around and get a bite at the food court, to watch the dogs at Derby Lane, to the Pier and it's Aquarium, to the book stores for the next stack of books and the next Calvin & Hobbes collection. When he found out how much I loved concerts, he sent me to them as often as I could find bands I liked in town. Plays, musicals, theater shows at the Mahaffey, and the gallery at the Dali. He made sure I got to experience it all.
Any hobbies, any interests, anything I wanted to pursue, he was in my corner 110%, always.
Strong Body Strong Mind. Rest easy G'Daddio.

Heartfelt sympathy and condolences on the passing Jack from the nieces and nephew of John (Jack) Selby Lewis. Our mother Mary (Lewis) Kunkle shared many memories as we were growing up of the friendship of our Uncle Jack and Gorge Beaufait.

Marja,
My prayers are with you and your family after hearing of Jack's passing. He was a mentor to me in many ways as a young teen. He taught me about music and politics and threw me plenty of footballs when I was young. Your family took on an exchange student when I was in a pinch and needed a home for her for a month. So many memories. May God be by your side at this time!!
Love,
Scott

Dear Marja, Monique, John and Family, I am so sorry I did not have an opportunity to know Jack because just reading about him is inspiring. He had quite a cross to carry in his youth; and yet, he chose to rise above it and engage in life with enthusiasm, strength and passion. He must have been such a positive role model both to people who are wheelchair-bound as well as able-bodied people. Please know we will be keeping Jack and all of your family in our prayers. Love, Carol Irwin

Please accept our deepest condolences on your tremendous loss. I remember sharing "lunch duty" with Jack many, many years ago at St Raphael School. Jack was a great person. Please be assured of our prayers at this time.
