Obituary of Vincent T. Pandolfo

Vincent T Pandolfo (Poppy), of St Petersburg, Florida, passed away at the age of 93 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law.

Born to Ida (Nellie) Corker and Italian immigrant, Vincenzo Pandolfo on March 25th, 1927. He hailed from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NYC of which he was very proud. He enlisted in the Navy at 17 years old and was honorable discharged at the end of WWII. Upon his return home he met and married Rose Roccogrande in 1950. They remained married until her passing in 2014. They had one daughter, Rosemary. In 1990, he retired to FL after a 20 year career for the NYC Transit Authority. 

He passed at home with his daughter and son-in-law, James Lutz of St Petersburg, Fl.

Other than his daughter and son-in-law he is survived by three grandchildren: Michael Cotignola and his wife Audrey of Tampa; Stephanie and her husband, Fred Sabota, of St Petersburg; Vincent Cotignola and his wife Stephanie of Clearwater. His life was enriched further through the comings and goings of 10 beautiful great-grandchildren ranging in age from 3 to 25 years old.

A memorial mass will be held at St Paul's Catholic Church in St Petersburg, Fl on a date to be later announce with interment of his ashes at Trinity Memorial Garden afterwards.

In lieu of flowers in tribute the family asks for donations to Hospice in gratitude of their support over the last few months.

Poppy, you will be remembered by each of us for your sweet disposition, love of music, and your ability to crack a joke whether or not the time was appropriate.
