Obituary of Gloria Enit Fred

Gloria Enit Fred Gonzalez of Pinellas Park passed away March 27, 2021 at her residence.  Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, resided in Chicago, IL and retired in St Petersburg, FL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Gonzalez and Alicia Rivera; husband, Victor Manuel Fred and her siblings, Wilsa Johnson and Iris Rivera. Gloria is survived by her brother, Ivan Gonzalez; daughters, Carmen Valle and Norma Hildalgo; son, Felix Fred; grandchildren George Jr. Hildalgo, Ricardo Valle Jr., Stephanie Hidalgo, Emanuel Valle, Alyssa Valle, Veronica Cruz, Casondra Valle and Gabriel Fred; great grandchildren, Camila Hidalgo, George Hidalgo IV, Rosalina Valle and coming soon Anthony A. Cruz.  In the words of her granddaughter, "Abeula (Gloria) was stubborn, honest, outspoken, hardworking, loving and an absolutely amazing woman.  She knew that every day was to celebrate life.  She knew that love was something to cherish every single day.  She knew that you hold on to the good people that come into your life.  She smoked, ate like shit, and didn't care.  "Muero Marta, Pero Muero Harta" (I die full, but I die happy). In her words, “The world is a beautiful place, no matter what color it is." 

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 at 10:30am with her funeral service at 11am at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38^th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710 followed by her burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 49th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709.
