Obituary of Mildred Hattie Mitchell

It is with great sadness that we announce that Mildred H. Mitchell, 93, of St. Petersburg passed away April 14, 2021 peacefully at her home. Born in Davenport, Virginia, she married and lived most of her life in St. Petersburg.   She is preceded in death by her parents, Ezekiel "Jack" Farmer and Minnie Ratliff Farmer; her siblings, Arnold Farmer, Ralph Farmer, Darnell "Bill" Farmer, Jack "Hillard" Farmer, Woody "Boone" Farmer and Betty O'Quinn, and Elden Lyal Farmer, and her husband Lawrence H. Mitchell and son Lawrence K. Mitchell.  

Mildred is survived by her siblings, Harold Farmer, Hilma Stuby, and Elaine Viegas. her daughter Belinda Mitchell Kitos and her granddaughter Stephanie Kitos Jurczack.   Mildred worked as cosmetologist and a model early in life, was very independent, resourceful and a loving individual.  Mildred insisted on continuing to care for herself and maintaining her own home until her death.  She was deeply religious and contributed to those in need. Her beautiful smile and charming spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
