Obituary of Louise S. Reams

Reams, Louise Stacy, 93, died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Westminster Suncoast Health Center in St Petersburg, Florida. She was born on April 30, 1928, the second oldest of four, to Horace Stacy and Lillian C. Stacy in Lumberton, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Salem Academy and Salem College. She married Hugh E. Reams in June 1950 and the two of them made their home in Kingsport, Tennessee, where their two children, Hugh Jr. and Jennifer where born. In 1958, Louise and her family moved to St Petersburg, where she was active in several charitable activities, including Meals on Wheels and tutoring elementary school children. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church for many years and was involved in many church activities. Her husband preceded Louise in death. Her children Hugh Jr. (Anne) of Marathon, Florida and Jennifer of Clearwater, Florida survive her. Louise is also survived by her four grandchildren, Christopher Reams, Katheryn Cutler, Amy Reams, and Allison Sakiotis; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Collins of Charlotte, North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.  A celebration of Life is planned at Westminster Suncoast early in the new year.
