Our deepest condolences to Gina´s family. Too early, too young. We so enjoyed some shared holiday bonfires together and are grieved to have had such a short time with such a special lady.

The McRoberts are some of our oldest friends in St. Pete, and a wonderful, cool family to know. The kind of people who make you feel like you already knew them in a past life, and feel an immediate sense of trust. You could go anywhere in St. Petersburg and find people whose lives Gina had touched, and when you mentioned her name, eyes would light up with warmth and affection: former students, colleagues, and friends. I feel lucky to have been a part of that life, and wish for the love that family has created to sustain them beyond this loss.

Mrs. McRobert was one of a kind. I remember sneaking into her classes when I had free periods, and she'd always let me join in. I'd gossip to her about middle school drama, and she'd share the wittiest comments and the greatest advice. As one of her students, I genuinely felt cared for and she continued to show that care throughout the following years. She has made such a positive impact on me and on the rest of her students. My heart is with her family and friends, and may she rest in peace.
Thank you Mrs. McRobert, for everything.

Gina was an amazing friend and teacher! She was always willing to help a colleague or a kid. She was always refining and improving her teaching craft - and all with a smart smirk and a laugh. Her students worked hard for her because they loved her. Her colleagues felt loved and cared for by her. She helped with big things and small things. She gave praise when praise was due and called for better when needed. She was amazing — and expected everyone else to be too. And we were! We (friends, colleagues, students)got better because she expected us to be.

Gina was my first confidant for both my most difficult personal and professional experiences. That wasn’t a coincidence. She loved as she lived - to the fullest. I am a better person for having known her and hope to find her again in the hereafter
