Obituary of Bernice Alice O'Hara

Bernice (Fegreus) O’Hara passed away December 6^th, 2021 at the age of 99, surrounded by local family and in close contact with distant family. Bernie, as she was known by those close to her was born June 26^th, 1922 in Worcester, Massachusetts. Born of Carl and Alice Fegreus, she was the only daughter of five children. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Her husband Daniel preceded her in death on Dec 5^th, 2013. She is survived by her two children, Sandra (Pat) Kirkpatrick, and Daniel O’Hara Jr. Her family had expanded to include three grandchildren Stephanie (Neal) Martin, Stacie Stewart, and Samantha (Gerred) Staiger as well as a multitude of great grandchildren.

Bernie traveled the world extensively, including living abroad in such places as Japan. Bernie devoted her time in support of raising her family and Daniel’s military career. She was an avid golfer, card player, and lover of sweets, mostly all varieties of chocolate. Bernie was eager to meet with friends for her favorite coffee and a laugh. She was always ready for the visit of her loved ones with their favorite foods and made sure no one was hungry in her presence. She enjoyed scouring auction lots and collecting treasures throughout her years and destinations. Her greatest legacy was the extensive family that she cared so deeply for.
