Thomas Beach

Obituary of Thomas D Beach

On Monday, 11/28/22 Thomas D. Beach passed away peacefully under the care of Hospice. He was 92 yrs old.

Born to Marcus and Georgia Beach in West Unity, Ohio, Tom attended Bowling Green University where he received his B.Ed and met the love of his life, Mary Frances Gillespie.

He served overseas in Korea as Army 1st Lieutenant Artillery/Forward Observer. After his return, he taught in the Cincinnati public school system at Oyler High School as a shop teacher. He went on to earn his M.Ed and served as the Assistant Dean of Evening college and Acting Director of Continuing Education for many years @ the University of Cincinnati before retiring to Parrish, Florida.

His passion throughout his lifetime was woodworking, and he created many beautiful, cherished pieces of furniture and crafts over the years. He also enjoyed birdwatching and could name virtually every bird he saw or heard. He had such a green thumb! Wherever he chose to make his home, his gorgeous flower gardens would be the talk of the neighborhood

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Frances. He was a loving father of the late Michael D. Beach. He is also survived by his daughter, Pamela A. Gallauer (Hans), and leaves behind 7 grandchildren who he truly adored: Brandon Beach (Jill), Laura Beach Mohammed (Fayad), Greg Beach, Nicholas Gallauer, Kyle Gallauer, Danielle Gallauer Gillespie (Zachary), and Carl Gallauer-as well as 6 incredible great grandchildren.

His kind, gentle soul will be so truly missed along with all his laughter.

The Family will be Celebrating His life with private services.
