Hello Bates family, I am truly sorry on Ruth’s passing. Ruth has always held a very special place in my heart. I thought of her often throughout my life and how much she always meant to me. Watching her sing at Pasadena Baptist Church when we were very young, always put the biggest smile on my face. I know she is still singing in heaven, please know she will always be loved. I knew Ruth from high school. We were in the Baker's Dozen together. I was so impressed by her ability to sing so beautifully in front of large groups of people. She was such a pretty woman and so very fun and witty. Ruth had the voice of an angel - may she rest peacefully in paradise.

I will never forget the first day I met Ruth. She interviewed with myself and our Risk Manager for a position at Tampa Bay Surgery Center. I fell in love with her the day we met. I knew she was the perfect person for what we were looking for. A very knowledgeable and beautiful person inside and out. You could always count on her. She always went above and beyond in her job duties. I don’t know anyone that she didn’t steal their heart and respect including the patients and their family members. She was dedicated and one of the best employees the surgery center had the pleasure of having. She will be missed more than words or tears can show. No one can fill her shoes. Work is where our friendship started but if you knew her you know it’s not where it ended. The long talks we would have. The music she would share with me. The calm way she always approached everything. I will miss each one of these and many more. I am blessed God had our paths cross in life. I will cherish each memory until will meet again. Ruth I pray you knew how much you were loved and appreciated by many. From deep in my heart I love you and I will miss you dearly. Fly high sweet Angel.
