Obituary of Carl Branch

Carl E. Branch, 93, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2023, in Whitakers, NC. Carl was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was born November 11th, 1929 in Plant City, FL to Clyde G. and Sarah Maebelle Branch.

He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida. He then served in the USAF as a Radar Technical and Technical Instructor. After his discharge he worked for more than 35 years at Honeywell Aerospace in Clearwater. He and Jean were very active in First Baptist Church Pinellas Park for many years. Carl helped install the original microphone and speaker wires, selected the sound mixer equipment, ran the sound for church services and special events. He was also a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. Jean was the church pianist, secretary and Sunday school teacher. Carl enjoyed working with electronics and fixing and repairing things. Carl also enjoyed his greenhouse and gardening and would propagate and graft new and unusual plants.

Carl was much loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his 3 sons Tom (Pam) Branch, Doug (Debbie) Branch, Glenn (Barbara) Branch.

Grandchildren Eric Branch, Ashlee Holder, Trevor Branch, Sean Macbean and Ryan Kennedy.

Great Grandchildren Taylor Branch and Nathaniel Branch.

A funeral service will be held, Saturday, February 18 at 11am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow the service with light refreshments. The committal service will follow the reception at Memorial Park Cemetery.
