Obituary of Yolanda Gleifert

Yolanda Gleifert, 72, of Saint Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully after a two-year battle with cancer on April 23, 2023.

Yolanda is predeceased by her parents Frank and Sophie Kulig. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Andrew and Susan Kulig of Standish, ME, her sons Kenneth Gleifert III and wife Allison of Southington, CT, and Thomas Gleifert and wife Jackie of Farmington, CT, and her five grandchildren Tyler, Evan, Tommy Jr., Kaitlin and Kenny.

Yolanda was born and raised in New Britain, CT where she graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in 1969. Yolanda raised her family in Plainville, CT until she moved to Florida in 1996 where she worked and retired from Children’s Orthopedic and Scoliosis Surgery Associates.

Yolanda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching the sunsets at Bermuda Bay, and walking her dogs Mishu, Max and Hannah Leah.

The family would like to thank Hartford Healthcare, St. Anthony’s Hospital and Suncoast Hospice for the care she received and to the special care givers that helped her over the last few years.
