Obituary of Ronald Clauson

Ronald E. Clauson, 82, of Seminole, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2023.    He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary, daughter Mary Ann (Michael), and granddaughter, Sarah Miller.

Ron was born in Sioux Falls, SD, on June 19, 1940, to Melvin and Myrtle Clauson, and grew up on a farm in Colton, SD.  Ron served in the Navy from 1961-1968, as a Chief Machinist Mate on nuclear submarines, and loved the Navy.   He graduated from South Dakota State in 1972, and was employed by Florida Power as a Nuclear Engineer for over 30 years.

Ron was liked by all who met him, he had a kind and calm demeanor, and helped anyone who would need assistance in repairing anything.  Ron was an expert craftsman, especially in stained glass projects, big and small.

A service will be held for family and friends in Ron’s memory on July 21, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seminole, FL at 10:30AM.
