Obituary of Susan Kay LeSage

Our dear mother Susan Kay LeSage has gone to be with her beloved husband Peter. Susan passed away at Largo Medical Center on June 15th, 2023 at the age of 68. She was a strong, wonderful mother, sister, daughter, and friend who was always there when anyone needed her. Susan was born in Luverne, MN to Arlene and Donald Toms. She was the middle child between her two incredible brothers Doug and Bobby. She excelled at school and loved to learn. She graduated with honors from Luverne High School. She went to college in Duluth, MN where she met her husband Peter and they were married in 1975. They had their beloved first child, Londa in 1976 followed by their cherished son, Deven, in 1977. Susan was a caring, dedicated mother who did all she could to give her children the tools to survive this sometimes difficult world. Love was something that was not only spoken out loud, but also deeply felt. Her love for family was one of her biggest strengths, which is a trait that was clearly passed down to her children and grand-children. Her deep affection extended to her “son-in-love” Jim and “daughter-in-love” Kirstin, who always felt special in her presence. She loved to tell stories about her little brother Bobby and her big brother Doug. Her grand-children were her world and she adored the role of grand-mother (aka:”Banana”) more than any role she carried in life. She was so proud of her family and each of their accomplishments. She spent most of her adult career sharing her caring personality through her work in the hospitality industry. Sue is preceded in death by her parents Arlene and Donald Toms, husband Peter LeSage, and brother Doug Toms. Sue is survived by her daughter Londa (Jim) Duncan of Largo, FL, son Deven (Kirstin) LeSage of Bemidji, MN, grand-children Nathan and Coral Duncan, brother Robert (Marie) Toms, plus many extended family and friends.

To honor her memory and respect her wishes, the family will be having a small memorial in Minnesota at a later date. Flowers and any contributions to burial expenses are appreciated and can be sent to: Londa Duncan 13010 Cumberland Drive, Largo FL 33773
