Obituary of Sally Rose Tribuna
Tribuna, Sally Rose, 88, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. She was born Sabia Rose Medoro on February 9, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA. Sally was preceded in death by her father, Gustino Medoro, her mother, Frances N. (DiCamillo) Medoro, her beloved brother, John “Johnny” Vincent Medoro, and two of her precious grandchildren, Jaira Marie Strong and Jaden Christian Strong.
As a young girl, she moved with her family to Miami, FL, and attended St. Theresa Catholic School in Coral Gables, FL. She was married to the late Charles DeWitt Strong, Jr., for 24 years and had five children, Dianne Marie (Strong) Britton, Glenn DeWitt Strong, Frank Charles Strong, Christian Michael Strong, and Mary Alice Strong. She became a successful administrative executive with General Electric and merited many accolades for her service to the company at their Florida offices in Miami, Orlando, and West Palm Beach. She retired from the GE office in Charlotte, NC, which is where she began her 25-year marriage to Salvatore “Sal” Tribuna. They later moved to Roswell, GA and Sally moved to St. Petersburg after Sal’s passing. She loved St. Petersburg and her Snell Isle community and was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She is survived by her sister, Margaret “Peggy” SanGiovanni, her five children, ten grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Her visitation service will take place at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, FL on Tuesday, July 18, from 4:30 until 6:30pm, with her funeral and Mass at St. Raphael Catholic Church on Snell Isle on Wednesday, July 19, at 10am. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, July 20, at 10am.
