Obituary of Dave O'Brien

David Warburnton O'Brien, 89, passed on July 21, 2023 in St Petersburg.  Dave is survived by his wife Carol, 6 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Dave was born in Connecticut on January 9, 1934.  He moved to New York City when he was 7years old.  He later moved to St Petersburg in 1976.

Dave retired from MaBSTOA bus company in 1975.  Dave was also a member of the N.Y.C. Transit Retirees of Florida.

Dave served in the US Air Force after serving in the Korean Conflict.  He was a respected member of the American Legion, Post 125, Gulfport, FL.  He was also active in the Pasadena Little League where he served as President for many years.  His greatest passion was bowling, which he started at the age of 14.  He also bowled at least three 300 games!

He was devoted to his wife of 61 years and a loving father to his children.  He was also a devoted Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Most Holy Name of Jesus in Gulfport, FL Saturday August 5, 2023 from 10a-11a. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11a.  All are invited.
