Obituary of Martha J Perez

Martha Jane Perez, 73, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Florida Northside Hospital. Martha was born on June 5, 1950 in Fire Creek, West Virginia, and later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she was raised by her aunt, Mary Rose Barry. Eventually, Martha made her home in St. Petersburg, FL where she worked as the Housekeeping and Laundry Manager at Menorah for what would have been 23 years this November. Martha was dedicated, loyal, and extremely conscientious. She was always committed to serving those entrusted to them. 
 

Martha was an extremely dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and she was known to fill a room with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She was a true lady who always carried herself with dignity and grace. 
 

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Max Perez, her parents, Lee and Rosie Rose and her brother, Robert Rose. Martha is survived by her daughter, Kathy Collins; grandsons, Dylan and Devin Jennings; sister, Ruth Smallwood and her husband, Charlie; brother, David Rose and his wife, Kimberley ; step children, Max and Sharon Perez, Irma and Bill Simmons as well as Irene and Chico Osorio; 9 grandchildren, and many more beloved family members and friends. 
 

Service will be held at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr MLK St N, St Petersburg, FL on Saturday, August 19, 2023 starting at 11:00am. A small reception will be held following her memorial.
