Obituary of Loy Thepsombath

Mr. Loy Thepsombath, 69, of Pinellas Park was born April 15, 1954 in Savannaket Laos and passed away peacefully on Sunday August 20, 2023. He is the youngest of 9 children from father Nouane Thepsombath and mother Boualien Thepsombath. Loy completed primary education and after joining the service of the nation he volunteered to be a soldier at the 26th Camp Training Center in Savannakhet Province. After 1975, Laos changed to a new regime which is a Communist regime. Loy then left his village to fight for freedom for 1 year then crossed the Mekong River to the refugee camp in Thailand to join his family. Loy and his family came to America in 1980, living first in Lowell Massachusetts then relocating to Florida in 1992. Loy is survived by his wife Toun who he married in 1972, his two daughters Lat and Lakmany, four grandchildren Anna, Amari, Brady and Andres and his nieces and nephews. He loved fishing everyday at the Skyway and taught his children, grandchildren and son-in-law Mario to fish as well. Services will be held at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home located at 7820 38th Ave N, St Petersburg, FL 33710 on Saturday August 26, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00.
