Obituary of Francis Richard LaRocca

Francis “Frank” Richard LaRocca, 84, of St Petersburg passed away September 1, 2023 in the care of Suncoast Hospice. Born in Plattekill, New York, he moved to Florida in 1956 with his parents.  He was preceded in death by his parents Anna & John, Jr.  Frank is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly, daughter Christine Lamb, grandsons Adam and Alex and son in law Brian who he loved like a son. 

Frank loved the simple things, his family, home, job, motorcycle rides, camping, family cookouts and his most favorite, listening to PBS specials on 50-60-70 music. He could always be found sitting on his front porch.  Frank loved his extended family of 3 brothers-in-laws, 14 nieces and nephews. 

Frank served in the Florida National Guard for 6 years, volunteered at AARP, PARC and served as block coordinators for the neighborhood. Frank retired from ABF Freight after 22 years and was proud to be a member of Teamsters Local #79 and served on the board of retirees and loved attending their quarterly meetings.  He was also a member of the West Coast Motorcycles for 10 years. 

Franks memorial will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Suncoast Hospice or charity of your choice.
