Obituary of Christian Myer

Christian Arnold Myer, Esq. 46, of St Petersburg, passed away on September 28, 2023.  Born October 13, 1976, in Caracas, Venezuela, he was the son of Marisol (Paredes) Myer and the late Edwin “Eddie” Myer.  Christian moved to St Petersburg in 1980 with his mother and oldest brother, Jonathan, when he was only four years old.  He attended Northeast High School, graduated with his bachelor's in Political Science from USF and received his Juris Doctor from Stetson Law School in 2003.  He partnered with Jesse Berkowitz in 2015 and built a successful law practice in St Petersburg, FL.  Christian’s passion for the law brought him back to Stetson as an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy.  

As one high school friend described him, “Christian’s personality matched his stature and he had a talent for making the mundane become interesting.”  He is remembered for his zest for life, being a true and trusted friend, a brilliant litigator, and for his unwavering support and mentorship of many.  

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  He is survived by his mother, Marisol Myer, his fiancée, Lisa Newkirk, his son, Roman Atticus Myer, step-son, Corbin Miner, his brothers, Jonathan Myer and Edwin Myer, his aunt, Raithza Paredes, and his cousin Natasha Damas-Henderson.   

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable and unforgettable man that he was on Sunday October 15, 2023, at 1pm at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr MLK Jr Street N, St Petersburg.
