Marsha was a giver, someone who always tried to help others. Marsha was a Bolts hockey fan, and we are women's basketball fans. During the Pandemic, Marsha gave us masks with sayings by the legendary Tennessee women's basketball coach, Pat Summit. Another time we had gone to Marsha's place to admire the new bathroom. As she was leading us back to the new shower and bathroom, we passed through her closet. I commented on how much I liked her neon orange blouse. She said it was too big for her and sent it home with me. As shown in the picture, Marsha was a constant presence at the Pinellas Relay for Life. She was a breast cancer survivor and wanted to celebrate her victory and donate both time and money to support our Relay team and the American Cancer Society. This past year I had two surgeries, total hip replacements. Marsha decided she needed to be with my partner Joanne, and arrived in the very early morning hours both times to sit with Joanne while I had surgery. Throughout her life, she consistently acted on her desire to help people. I will definitely miss Marsha as I know many others will as well.

Marsha and I were friends for 40+ years. We nursed together in the beginning but as our careers turned toward different paths, we became friends who wanted to spend time together. We laughed and cried through our good times and our bad times. Marsha was the very best in explaining happenings in the intensive care unit. When relationships became stressed, we were there for each other. Then she met her Karen. Absolutely the happiest I had ever seen her. With her Karen, she joined me and my Karen in a wonderful trip to Europe. We also enjoyed many trips to the strawberry farm where all 4 of us indulged. Not to mention the many Lady in Red Dances. We loved to dance the jitterbug together. My Karen and I sat with Karen as she died in Hospice. Marsha's heart was broken. Marsha continued to be a friend. We all routinely went to dinner and a show. Marsha remained missing Karen until they were together again in heaven. Marsha sat with me when my Karen had hip replacement surgery. She took being prepared to new levels. She brought warm blankets to the surgery center so we wouldn't be cold. There are so many memories. I will miss her very very much. I do want to say that Brenda has been a great sister to Marsha.

Marsha, I will miss you so much. Your phone calls and messages or a funny cartoon. I was so looking forward to coming down there to see you now that I have retired. You were a generous and kind friend and “cousin”. I know “Aunt” Ruth will miss your calls. It will never be the same but we have pictures and our memories. You will always be remembered.

We've lost a great lady. She was our spark plug, always so full of life and enthusiasm. And always thoughtful and generous. We shared much fun over family dinners and going to Bolts games. She will be missed.
Please acept my condolences and may Marsha rest in peace.

I am truly saddened by the passing of my friend and hockey buddy Marsha. She was always fun to be around and was sure to bring a smile to your face. We bonded over hockey and we would go to see the Bolts whenever we came to Tampa. The first time we went to a game with Marsha I tried to give her the money for the tickets for me and son Tyler. Marsha wouldn’t take it and she told me to keep it a secret. We had a ball! She would bring hand warmers and she would bring a blanket to keep us warm. At least now she is reunited with Karen and they can now watch the games together again. Marsha will be sorely missed by all. Rest in peace my friend. Let’s go Lightning!

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha...I wish that I had persisted in calling you the night before your procedure to have had one more conversation, one more laugh, but it wasn't meant to be. I will miss you so much, my dear friend. Maybe little in stature but a mighty, mighty woman. So long, until we meet again.
Love Andrea

Although she was small, Marsha was a huge presence in our lives, both in nursing school and in our alumni group on FB. It would not be an exaggeration to say that we were all stunned and shaken by the loss of her. She left a huge hole in our group and in our hearts. Marsha…I hope you knew how much we loved you and valued your friendship. I know you are so happy to be back with Karen.
My deepest condolences to all Marsha’s family. You are in my prayers.

It’s Marsha, Marsha, Marsha, that’s how you also answered when you called…I already miss that…I’m going to have to pay more attention to the tv and weather, you let me know when a new show was coming on…or just something you knew I’d like…also told me what my weather was going to be. We may not be sisters by blood but we are sisters by hearts! I’m so happy that Karen brought you into our lives, you were a perfect fit! Lots of memories , adventures, and trips with you two and Terry and I, fun birthday trips with the cousins. I love you forever and always! Rocky And Terry!

Marsha, Our memories of your friendship and kindness will always be with us, as we struggle to believe your time here is over. Who will share our thoughts during all the upcoming political events, enjoy a slice, or two, or three of Heath Bar Cake, or a scoop of your favorite ice cream? You were a great friend and neighbor and we will think of you often with love and fond memories.
With love and gratitude, Gail and Ralph

My dear friend Marsha, you are loved and missed.
There is an empty spot where I expect you to call, or I think of calling to update you. This feeling may slowly go away but you will always be missed.
Thank you, Marsha, for being that rare loyal and true friend.

Marsha, my dear sister. I love you and will miss you. We had a bond that was one of a kind, a blend of love, devotion, obligation, and sibling friendship. We have shared many memories of our family and childhood years, we have laughed, teased, told stories and cried together. Through thick & thin we were always there for each other. You have a goodness that shines from within...a giving spirit...a caring heart. You found love with Karen and had many wonderful years together. It broke your heart to lose Karen, but you channeled your grief into helping others and giving of yourself to the community. You always believed the best medicine is laughter. So in honor of you, we'll keep hysterically laughing at old I Love Lucy and Carol Burnett shows. Other favorites, American Bandstand to keep us dancing and Jeopardy to keep us challenged....you trivia queen!
Marsha you touched so many people and made a difference....here is quote from Haki Aitoro
Let us all be remembered
For the lives we touched
For the people helped
For the wisdom we shared
For the laughter we initiated
For the love we gave
For the communities we inspired
For the world we changed
As a source of hope
As a source of wisdom
As a source of guidance
As an example of our legacy
Your loving sister, Brenda
