Obituary of Stewart Pritchard Goldie

Stewart P. Goldie, 94, of St. Petersburg passed away on December 24, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.

Born in Newark, NJ in 1929, he grew up in  Kearny,  NJ and graduated from Kearny High School and Stevens Institute of Technology with a degree Mechanical  Engineering in 1951. 

He met the love of his life, Elizabeth Reynolds in 1952. They married in 1954 and resided in Kearny for three years. He accepted a position at ECI in St. Petersburg, FL in 1957 so that his growing family could live in Florida near Betty's family. He continued his career working for Honeywell for 27 years and retired in 1990. 

Besides his wife Elizabeth of 70 years, Stewart's survivors include four children, Winifred Mondshein (Pete Juenemam) and Janice Goldie of St.Petersburg, Stewart John Goldie (Mary) of Rosenberg, TX and Elizabeth Steele (Mark) of Sandy Springs, GA; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Stewart was a 2nd Lt. in the Army Corps of Engineers and served as a combat platoon engineer in The Korean War. He was a active member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 65 years. 

Stewart's Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church followed by a reception in Diffley Hall. Visit his online guestbook at
