Obituary of Evelyn B Smith

Evelyn B. Smith, age 101, of South Pasadena, FL, passed away on April 18th, 2024. She was born in Ozark, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith, and siblings Flint Blackman, Noires Richardson, Mattie "Mary" Delaney, Nettie Leinnniger, and Naomi "Dot" Martin.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter Annette Whitaker; son Ron Smith; grandchildren Sean Whitaker, Aaron Smith, and Amanda Wilson; great-grandchildren Kyle Smith, Draven Whitaker, Sarah Horgan (Smith), Kaci Flohre (Wilson), Brandon Flohre (Wilson), Lily Smith, Gabrielle Whitaker, Cash Cuevas (Wilson), and Zachary Wilson; and great-great-grandchildren James Smith, Crew Smith, Harper Whitaker, and Ember Whitaker.

Evelyn was an active member in her church, East Sligh Baptist Church. She enjoyed writing music and singing with her sister Nettie. She loved to visit and talk and laugh with others. Evelyn enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She was wonderful with all of her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to experience the outdoors with her husband; they did everything from fishing & camping to rodeos & wrestling matches. 

She was well-loved by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Evelyn's Life will take place Monday, April 22nd, at 12:00pm at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, St Petersburg, FL 33704. Burial at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592, will occur after the service at 2pm.
