Obituary of Claude W. Shipley

Shipley, Claude W., 91, of St. Petersburg, died Monday February 21, 2000 at The Masonic Home of Florida. Born in Sale Creek, Tennessee he came to St. Petersburg in 1997 from Harkers Island, NC. He was a pressman for the Chattanooga Free Press & the Miami Herald. He was a member of the Moore Haven Masonic Lodge #61 F. & A.M. in Moore Haven, FL and was Presbyterian. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Crocker of Harkers Island, NC and Linda Rompot of Moore Haven, FL; three sisters, Helen Mulkey, Theola Shipley and Bobbie Stultz all of Chattanooga, TN; three nieces, Jenny Desque of Pennsylvania, Jane Mulkey and Dottie Shipley both of Chattanooga; four nephews, Bob and David Mulkey both of Chattanooga, Jim and David Willis both of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Steven Coburn of Orlando, FL, Ronald Adams and Jennifer Toler both of North Carolina, and seven great grandchildren.
