Obituary of Ilda Oprah Johnson

Johnson, Ilda, 95, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday May 13, 2000 at Vencor Hospital St. Petersburg. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, she came here in 1959 from Huntington, West Virginia. In Huntington, she was a floral designer for Archers Flowers. While here, she was a gift wrap designer for Wilson-Chase and Montgomery Ward?s and sold hats and wigs for Webb?s City. She was a member of Central Christian Church of Huntington and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved fishing, gardening and animals. She is survived by a son, Roger Rowley, St. Petersburg; two grandsons: Robert Rowley, Dallas, TX and Michael Rowley, Memphis, TN; one granddaughter, Cathy Chappel, Huntington, WV; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
