Obituary of Franklin Rusty'' Eugene Vest

Vest, Franklin Eugene ?Rusty,? 63, of Branford, FL and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday June 5, 2000 at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center of natural causes. Born in Poland, Indiana, he came here in the seventies from California. He was a professional driver and a cab driver in St. Petersburg from 1972 until the present. He enjoyed playing the guitar and Gospel music. He served in the Army and was affiliated with The Lighthouse. Survivors include three daughters: Debra Pierce, Tyler, TX; Barbara Morton, Wagoner, OK; Cathy Reed, Freedom, IN; two sons: Eric Strickland and Brian A. Strickland, both of Dade City, FL; one brother, William ?Freddie,? Poland, IN; three sisters: Thelma Stalter, Oxford, NY; Freda Sims, Bloomington, IN; and Gladys Schmidt.
