I will always be thankful for the wonderful way that my Aunt Catherine came into my Mom's life after my Dad died and help to so very gently heal her wounded heart. She was so much more then a just a sister she was truly her best friend. Aunt Catherine was more like a Grandmother to me, someone very special.
My trips to Florida won't be the same any more, I will miss her very much.

Grandma, you will be greatly missed, but we know you are in heaven! You have a special place in my heart and I will cherish my memories forever. Thank you for all you did for me: my collection of your china painting and most of all my wedding dress. I have so many wonderful memories of the times we spent together and things we did and talks we had. I will miss you and love you always!

We will always remember Grandma Katherine, for many, many things, but the few things I especially remember her for are visiting her in Florida as a young boy, and being fascinated by the place she lived, from swimming in the street in front of her house during a monsoon, to trying to catch chameleons in her back yard, to the birds on her porch she seemed to love so much.
There were also the many hand-made gifts she made for us as children, and later for our own children, and then sent along for birthdays and Christmas, that just seemed extra special because we could feel the love that went into making them.
While this can't possibly describe all my wonderful feelings for Grandma, and it has been many years since we have seen her, I know she truly was a special woman, and we feel a great loss in her passing.
Our condolences especially go out to Joan, Jean, and Joe during this very difficult time in their life. Though she had a good long life, it always seems to be much too short.
Grandma Katherine, you'll always be in our hearts. We love and miss you.
